Bio
Ed Shioyazono is the Managing Director of The Partners Group’s Los Angeles offices. He is a graduate of The University of California, Los Angeles (BA summa cum laude, 1995) and University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall, JD 1998). While working as a litigation associate with Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, Ed was successfully recruited by a recruiter to become a recruiter, and he eventually specialized in all aspects and types of attorney-level placements. His experience includes partner, practice group and whole firm mergers and acquisitions, and C-Level positions in companies requiring law practice or legal industry experience. Ed utilizes his vast network of attorneys and legal professionals to gain up-to-the-minute knowledge of the changing legal profession in order to consult with attorneys at all stages of their careers. He also assists entry level to senior partners with business plan drafting and utilization, and advises attorneys on business development techniques and strategies. Ed is a long-time supporter and benefactor of community-based charity organizations serving under-represented populations. He combines his passion for running with fundraising by participating in charity-sponsored national marathon programs.
