Our client, a premier international technology company based in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking to add a Counsel to focus on its business segment that deals with outside sellers. This experienced attorney will draft and negotiate strategic, enterprise and platform technology agreements and help structure the cutting-edge business from a legal perspective with product development initiatives and client support. This Counsel will be a talented commercial and/or technology transactions attorney responsible for supporting the top-notch legal group on cutting-edge initiatives in which the client distributes technology to retailers, enterprises, developers, and others. This attorney will have transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals that range up to very high-dollar-value transactions, and will provide ongoing legal counseling and contract interpretation for senior executives and other business team members.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a J.D. degree from a top-tier law school and be a member of at least one state bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial negotiations and/or technology transactional background, with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant legal experience (with at least 2 years at a top law firm) required. Some background in technology/content licensing and the ecommerce industry would be helpful, as would prior in-house experience generally (though prior in-house experience is not required). Very competitive compensation package includes equity compensation. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. The company is open to relocating strong candidates.
