SENIOR COUNSEL (LEASING/PROPERTY ACQUISITION) – MAJOR TECH COMPANY (EXCLUSIVE) – PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Our client, a premier international technology company that continues to excel in 2010, has asked us exclusively to identify a stellar real-property acquisition, leasing & development attorney to add to its dynamic legal group. This person will be responsible for legal matters relating to the company’s efforts to acquire and maintain new global sites to support its technology-related businesses worldwide. This position will span a number of areas, including leasing, purchase & sales, land use & zoning, energy sourcing, securing water rights & telecommunication access for real property, interacting with local governments, and structuring related commercial transactions.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant legal experience, strong educational credentials (including a degree from a top-tier law school), and a real estate leasing/development or other relevant background that includes experience performing some or all of the above-described duties. Candidates with previous in-house experience would be ideal, but this is not a requirement. At least two years’ training in a top national or international law firm is required. Strong drafting, negotiating and deal-closing experience are a must, as are project management skills. It is possible that slightly more junior candidates with significant substantive legal experience in the areas listed above, as well as other significant pre-law experience and stellar academic credentials, could also be a fit.
