LegalPartners recently had the privilege of sponsoring the Women in Legal Corporate Leadership Virtual Summit. The event was originally scheduled to be an in-person event in Atlanta but as a result of COVID-19, was a virtual event. With over 200 in-house attorneys registered for the event, we were skeptical as to how the virtual event would be received and if we would be able to make meaningful connections with the attendees but were surprisingly thrilled with the platform and the ability to interact via video with existing clients, friends, and new contacts – including the winner of our drawing, a gift card for takeout to a local Atlanta restaurant group.

Several Legalpartners members participated in the conference, including Donna Park, Jennifer Lubin, David Gruskin, and myself. I had the pleasure of serving as a Panelist on “Countering the #Me Too Backlash: Enlisting Men to Become Ambassadors for Change” and despite an early morning power outage caused by Tropical Storm Sally – luckily my power was restored just in time to join the panel. I thoroughly enjoyed the candid conversation amongst my fellow panelists, the moderator, and the questions posed via the Live Chat by the attendees. The day focused on promoting diversity and inclusion, getting a seat at the table, and top tips for furthering your career in the midst of the pandemic.

We truly enjoyed the day and look forward to our future participating in similar events that promote inclusion, diversity, and equality in the legal profession
