Law FirmWinston-Salem, North Carolina

Our client, a small but highly sophisticated business boutique with a main office in Winston-Salem and a satellite office in Raleigh, has asked for our assistance in identifying a well-pedigreed Commercial Real Estate Development (“dirt”) lawyer to join their team and serve as the lead lawyer for the firm’s work.  Ideal candidates will have experience managing large-scale commercial real estate deals (shopping centers, mixed-use facilities) and will ideally bring a client base sufficient to keep them busy at least 50% of the time (note that the firm does not represent lenders).  Prior experience in high-dollar commercial foreclosure and general corporate / M&A work is also helpful. Significant cross-selling opportunities exist with the firm’s existing corporate clientele, and it’s expected that the hired lawyer will contribute as needed with the firm’s transactional practice.  The firm expects this lawyer to have a significant amount of client contact / management and being the “face” of the Commercial Real Estate practice, so soft skills and presentation are important.  6+ years of direct, on-point experience in either a large firm or dedicated boutique setting are required.  NC bar, ability to waive in, or willingness to sit for next available exam required, as are superior academics and a demonstrated record of success.  Firm is largely comprised of ex-BigLaw partners, is an exceptionally nice place to work, and allows lawyers to practice at their own pace with a great deal of autonomy and no strict ‘face-time’ mandate.  No billable hour requirement, hybrid / partial telecommuting welcomed.  Compensation system allows for a sizable income in direct proportion to work performed.  This is a tremendous opportunity for a large-firm or regional-firm lawyer to  step out of the grind and practice law comfortably and reasonably.  Also a fantastic opportunity for a solo practitioner or small-firm lawyer looking to off-load overhead and administrative duties while still taking home a large percentage of revenues.  For consideration please contact (for a full listing of our open positions, please visit
