Law FirmRaleigh, North Carolina

Our client, a standalone, full-service, Chambers-ranked firm widely considered the top business firm in North Carolina, has asked for our assistance in identifying a junior to mid-level Tax Associate to join their expanding team.  The ideal candidate will have between 1 and 4 years or direct, on-point experience in a large law firm or dedicated boutique setting.  The focus of work will be on corporate tax, including partnership and closely-held matters, and will involve drafting buy-sell agreements and operating agreements.  Estate planning experience is also helpful; Tax controversy experience is not.  The need is for someone with exposure to M&A support, securities, and tax-exempt organizations to act as a general transactional Tax Associate.  The firm itself is highly unique and selective, has no billable hour requirement beyond third year, and it places a high value on the balance between work and home life.  They welcome unique individuals with hobbies and interests outside of the office, and they strive to build a diverse and highly eclectic roster.  Compensation is highly competitive, and the firm has a long history of attracting and retaining lawyers from larger regional and national/international firms.  Exceptional academic & professional credentials required for consideration.  JD from a top law school required, as is NC bar, ability to waive in, or willingness sit for the next available bar exam.  A Masters Degree in Accounting is particularly useful.  An LLM in Tax helpful but not necessary.  For consideration, please submit your resume confidentially to  (For a full listing of our job posts, please visit us at
