Our client, a multinational energy manufacturing & logistics company, is seeking to hire an Environmental & Regulatory Counsel for their North American operations based in Houston. The hired attorney will use their knowledge and experience in environmental and regulatory law to provide legal advice and counsel to refining and midstream facilities, and to assist and support the research, reporting, management, and handling of legal matters in the Environmental & Regulatory practice group of a large, publicly-traded, integrated midstream and downstream energy company.

Candidates should have 5 or more years of experience and general knowledge of environmental and regulatory law, terminology, and clauses associated with the energy industry. Seeking attorneys who have experience with compliance counseling, advising on environmental matters in corporate and commercial transactions, due diligence, and interactions with applicable regulatory agencies. Subject matter familiarity should include air emissions, industrial and hazardous waste, water quality, wetlands, endangered species, contaminated properties, and other state and federal environmental regulatory requirements. Experience in oil & gas, refining, energy, or petrochemical industries a plus. Client is offering highly competitive salary and bonus.
