The Partners Group is assisting the City of Chicago in its’ search for a new Inspector General.  Qualified candidates must have experience managing and completing complex investigations involving allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, illegal acts, theft, public corruption, deception, or conspiracy.  Candidates are required to possess demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience in conducting audits, investigations, compliance, and performance reviews.   They must also have expertise in using data analytics to study trends and make strategic decisions.  A Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree in law, accounting, public administration, or other relevant areas is strongly preferred.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) provides a formal, independent system to maintain operational integrity, efficiency, and transparency in all areas of City operations; work to eliminate fraud, waste, corruption, and abuse within City government; and uphold policies and procedures, laws, and regulations. The OIG currently has approximately 100 fulltime employees and is one of the largest IG offices in the country. The Inspector General is responsible for supervisory management of the OIG and all its sections including audit, compliance, investigations, legal, data analytic and administrative, and the selection of the next Public Safety Deputy Inspector General who will serve a parallel term.
