Our close client, one of the most prominent global firms, is seeking to hire an associate with 3-5 years of experience to work with its Tax Controversy team within the Tax practice group in their Washington, DC office. They are looking to add a team member with federal tax litigation and controversy experience who will join a practice that advises clients on the full range of policy, planning, and controversy matters. Applicants should have a strong background resolving complex tax matters in many industries with IRS appeals, using the IRS alternative dispute resolution programs, and in litigation. Experience representing clients involved in tax litigation and administrative controversy including examination, appeals, and litigation in the U.S. Tax Court, US District Courts/Court of Federal Claims, and the Courts of Appeal is desired. Must have excellent writing and analytical skills, strong academic records, impressive communication abilities, confidence, self-motivation, a team-player mindset, and the ability to assume responsibility for matters in an active practice.
