Our client, an AmLaw 50 law firm known for innovation and collegiality, is seeking to hire a junior IP patent prosecution associate for the firm’s Life Sciences practice group in their Austin office. Candidates should have 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required. Candidates must have superior academic credentials with backgrounds in one of the following fields: cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, organic synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, or immunology. Candidates are expected to draft and prosecute patent applications, prepare patent opinion letters, provide IP counseling to clients, and conduct patent due diligence studies in connection with business transactions. Current patent bar membership with previous law firm experience required. Will consider relocation candidates.
